On Saturday, February 9, 2019, we took part in the Cancer Patient Services Chili Cook-Off.  There was a great turnout!  With help from our staff and HFCU members were able to raise $2,000.00 for Cancer Patient Services!  And we walked away with first place for the Spirit Award!

united way names 2018 campaign cabinet

United Way of Hancock County has announced this year’s campaign cabinet and plans for the 2018 campaign kickoff.  The campaign will kick off Sept. 20 with public events happening throughout the day.


Karen Taschler among others were appointed to this years campaign cabinet.


Karen Taschler, director of marketing at Hancock Federal Credit Union, is leading the finance, insurance and real estate (FIRE) division. She has served as a board member for Cancer Patient Services and Hancock Saves. She was also on the Bridges Out of Poverty Leadership coalition. She is a volunteer with the OSU Extension Office’s “Real Money, Real World” program.

dairy feeder brings record price

September 4, 2018

Grant Clay of Forest holds his champion dairy feeder, which sold for a record price Monday at the Hancock County junior fair livestock auction. The 609-pound dairy feeder attracted a record premium bid of $6,200 from a group of buyers. The animal was one of three champions that brought record prices at the auction.


August 29, 2018

Hancock Federal Credit Union sponsored the Donkey Races again this year.  Suzzette and Michelle participated as donkey jockeys.  All proceedes went to the Flag City Honor Flight.  Thank you for showing your support!

Feast on the street

We had such a wonderful time downtown at Feast on the Street! Great bands, Great people and Great food! It is always a fun time to get out and interact with the community!

The week of May 14th we started our 80th Anniversary celebration!  We had coffee, cookies, burgers, and brats... Oh my!

8th Annual Backyard Mission Trip

May 1, 2018

On Saturday, April 28, 700 volunteers from over 30 churches and organizations gathered at Winebrenner Theological Seminary to take on 200 projects around Findlay and Hancock County.


The Backyard Mission Trip is a yearly activity where people from the community volunteer to do yard work, painting, and modest house repairs. It’s a way for people to participate in a Mission Trip without venturing away from home, giving them the ability to work, beatify and strengthen our community.
